Account of Saurabh Prashad nostalgic journey for JEE preparation with Dr TK Bansal

Every student has a unique dream about his/her career. After class 10, I also switched schools and took admitted to Tagore International School, New Delhi, with a new hope of getting enrolment in some top engineering college. In our country to achieve that purpose qualifying for certain entrance examinations, such as JEE, NEET, etc., is the most essential requirement. Initially, I started my studies very well but as the course progressed, being a visually challenged student, it was quite difficult for me to grab all visual and complicated concepts in class. Besides, due to the lack of financial support, I could not join any coaching. Gradually I lost all hope and excitement completely and was doubtful about my upcoming studies.

Then suddenly on September 25th, 2018, A radical encounter took place with a former professor of IIT Kharagpur and founder of Bansal tutorial, Dr. TK Bansal. Having the same challenges as mine, he could exactly recognize my needs and promised to help in all possible ways to make my dream true. He started teaching me every day for hours telephonically. He also used to come to my place for teaching whenever required. The next step was to arrange the previous year’s question papers in an accessible format for better practice. For that, he made 200 videos explaining each question in detail.

Soon I could get question papers in the reachable format on a YouTube channel created by him. In addition to it, he also typed a lot of papers manually for me. Further, I also got help from him for fulfilling some of my financial needs including maths tuition fees, mobile recharge, transportation facilities for going to examination centers, etc. Above all, throughout the whole preparatory duration he kept me filled with a high level of encouragement. Finally, his constant and countless devotion brought the result. I qualified for class 12 and JEE mains with 93.4 percent and 93.07 percentile respectively. The story doesn’t end up here because the subsequent stage was to get admission to college. He also accompanied me throughout the counseling process.

Presently I am studying at IIIT Delhi in the computer science and engineering branch. And that selfless personality, an ultimate guide, mentor, and friendly teacher is still on his way to providing help to other needy students. I am never tired of appreciating his self-sacrificing and generous dedication. As long as such personality exists, the beam of encouragement for altruistic piety will be alive in the whole of humanity and thus keep circulating throughout the world forever.”
